Disney and Pixar unveil the Elemental Experience, an immersive pop-up exhibit tour for their upcoming film, Element City, offering visitors engaging film-themed activities.

Disney and Pixar are enchanting New Yorkers with a captivating pop-up exhibit for their forthcoming film, “Elemental.” Opening Friday at Brookfield Place in Lower Manhattan, The Elemental Experience recreates the stunning metropolis of Element City, where Fire, Water, Earth, and Air must learn to coexist. Scheduled for theatrical release on June 16, “Elemental” is directed by Peter Sohn, a seasoned Pixar artist whose New York upbringing inspired the rich diversity and culture found in the film's setting.

The touring exhibit is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Brookfield Place, offering an array of entertaining activities. These include uniquely designed photo and video opportunities, interactive sessions with Pixar artists, a thrilling movie-ticket grab in a wind tunnel, and a variety of exclusive giveaways and content.

Each section of the experience showcases different aspects of the movie, providing visitors an immersive journey into the lives of characters and neighborhoods within Element City.

“Elemental” revolves around a Fire-resident and Water-resident who defy the long-held belief that elements should never come together. The film is set to conclude this month's Cannes Film Festival in France, later becoming the centerpiece for the 2023 Tribeca Festival, with a screening slated for June 10.

The Tribeca Festival's description shares Sohn's intriguing vision for the movie: "What if the elements we all know were alive?" Born in The Bronx to Korean immigrants, the 45-year-old talent has contributed to Pixar movies such as “Finding Nemo” and “”Ratatouille,” making his directorial debut with “The Good Dinosaur” in 2015.

As Pixar's 27th movie, “Elemental” follows the 2021 “Toy Story” spinoff “Lightyear.” The Elemental Experience will embark on a multi-city mall tour, making stops in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco after thrilling New York audiences.
