69-year-old subway passenger attacked in Bronx for obstructing fellow rider

According to police, a 69-year old man was brutally attacked on a Manhattan-bound No. 4 subway train on the night of March 11th. The assault was provoked by the victim inadvertently getting in the way of the attacker before boarding, causing him to become irate. The suspect is said to have followed the victim onto the train, where he punched and kicked him in the face and body repeatedly. The attack occurred around 9 p.m. as the train pulled into the 176th St. station, and the assailant fled the scene at the next stop. Though the victim declined medical attention at the scene, he later visited a doctor for treatment. Police have released an image of the suspect and are seeking the public's help in identifying his whereabouts.
