The last of four escaped inmates from Mississippi was apprehended after nearly two weeks at large, according to police reports. Corey Harrison was arrested at a home in Crystal Springs, with the assistance of Hinds County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. Harrison had escaped from the Raymond Detention Center on April 22 with three other inmates, Casey Grayson, Jerry Raynes, and Dylan Arrington.
Following their escape, the inmates reportedly climbed through the roof and possibly hid there before leaving the facility. Harrison had been in custody since April 7 for receiving stolen property. His capture occurred after Grayson was found dead inside a vehicle at a New Orleans truck stop. Investigators do not currently suspect foul play in Grayson's death.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Dylan Arrington was killed in a shootout with law enforcement on April 26. Authorities said he had barricaded himself in a Leake County residence, which eventually caught fire during the standoff. Before his death, Arrington was believed to have carried out a fatal carjacking in the Jackson area. A local clergyman named Reverend Anthony Watts was murdered while offering roadside assistance. Arrington had initially been detained for auto theft and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Lastly, Jerry Raynes was apprehended in the Houston area and is in the process of being extradited back to Mississippi. He was jailed in January 2022 on charges of auto theft and business burglary. In addition to Harrison's arrest, 38-year-old Jodie Marie Teboa, a 'female acquaintance' of his, is facing charges of aiding and abetting.
