Morgan Wallen, a prominent country singer, recently revealed that he has once again injured his vocal cords and is currently undergoing vocal fold trauma. The 29-year-old musician had resumed performing after a 10-day break for vocal rest, but his condition worsened following three concerts in Florida. The singer went for further examination and was advised by doctors to take a six-week vocal rest. As a result, Wallen has postponed multiple concerts, including two scheduled appearances at MetLife Stadium for his One Night at a Time World Tour. The new dates for these shows have yet to be announced.

Wallen's forthcoming performances in cities like Philadelphia, Austin, Houston, and Atlanta have also been impacted by his vocal issues. Furthermore, the singer will not be performing at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday. Doctors have warned Wallen that if he fails to take proper care of his vocal cords and continues to perform, he could face permanent damage to his voice. Committed to the longevity of his career, Wallen has decided to heed the advice of medical professionals.

Vocal fold trauma can occur as a result of excessive or improper use of one's voice and may affect a person's speaking voice, as stated by the National Institutes of Health. Last month, Wallen had to make a last-minute cancellation at a Mississippi concert and postpone several other performances. The singer also mentioned that he recently tore his lat muscle during a trip to Australia, but he anticipates this injury will heal during his vocal rest period.

Wallen's song "Last Night" has secured the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for the fifth time this week. The singer is also known for his popular tracks such as "Thought You Should Know," "You Proof," and "Wasted on You."
